Reach truck and order picker rental provides specialized warehouse equipment built for narrow aisle operations and high-bay racking – reach trucks extend forks forward to lift pallets into tall racking without needing the wide turning radius a standard forklift requires, while order pickers raise the operator up to pick individual items directly from shelving at height.
This is the right equipment for warehouses with high-bay racking systems where standard forklift lift height isn't sufficient, narrow aisle layouts designed to maximize storage density that standard forklifts can't maneuver through, operations doing individual item picking from elevated shelving rather than moving full pallets, or any facility where storage design has moved beyond what standard warehouse forklifts can efficiently serve. Facilities that have optimized racking for storage density often specifically need this equipment class rather than standard forklifts.
We start by understanding your racking configuration – aisle width, rack height, and whether you're moving full pallets or picking individual items, since reach trucks and order pickers serve genuinely different functions despite both being narrow-aisle equipment. We deliver equipment matched to your actual racking specifications, since these units are more specialized than general warehouse forklifts and need to actually fit and function within your specific aisle and rack dimensions. We walk through operation specifics with your team, since both reach trucks and especially order pickers, which involve operating from an elevated platform, require operators comfortable with the equipment's particular handling characteristics.
Cost depends on rental duration and the specific equipment type and lift height needed. Warehouses in Albany, OR with taller racking systems typically need higher-capacity reach trucks or order pickers than a standard-height facility.
